Sibir Airlines expresses its sincerest condolences to the relatives and friends of the passengers who died or were injured on Flight 778 from Moscow to Irkutsk. The grief and distress felt by all affected by this tragedy is immeasurable. We deeply mourn the dead and are doing all we can to give everyone injured in the crash, as well as the relatives and friends of the Flight 778 passengers, the help and support they need.

Sibir Airlines regrets to confirm that one of its aircraft, operating Flight 778 from Moscow to Irkutsk on the night of 8/9 July, slid off the runway when landing at Irkutsk airport at 07.44 (local time) and then burst into flames. We can confirm that there were 193 passengers and 10 crew members on board. The aircraft was an Airbus 310.

Today an Airbus A319 will start regular flights on S7 Airlines' Novosibirsk - Moscow route. This is the first liner to join the airline under new plans to update and expand the number of planes used for main routes. Under an operational license agreement with Cramington Services Ltd, the company will be adding a total of 10 such Airbus planes.

The Agreement for joint sales of flights (code-sharing agreement) has come into force between S7 Airlines and Thai Airways on the routes Moscow-Bangkok. S7 Airlines is now able to offer its passengers seats on the Thai Airways flights between Moscow and Bangkok. S7 flight 4974/4975 is carried out on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Departure from Bangkok at 10:25 a.m., arrival at Moscow at 05:10 p.m., departure from Moscow at 06:40 p.m., arrival at Bangkok at 06:45 a.m. (local time). The flights are carried out by long haul aircrafts А340-600.

July 17 S7 Airlines launches new regular flight 057/058 Moscow – Magadan – Moscow. The flights will be carried out two times per week. The S7 plane departures from Moscow on Mondays, Wednesdays at 05:35 p.m., and on Tuesdays, Thursdays at 11:15 a.m. from Magadan.
