S7 airlines and Russian online sales

S7’s Bargain Fares program, launched October 1 on the airline’s official website, has become Russian Internet’s biggest online sale of services. For the first time, buying air tickets on the Internet with a credit card has become a mass phenomenon in Russia. 15 tickets a minute is S7’s current record peak-day online sales average. On some dates, the website’s home page has received over 120,000 visits and the site has sold more than 7000 tickets in 24 hours.
 

S7 Airlines - official carrier of winners

In November 2006, S7 signed its latest sponsorship deal with the bandy club Baikal-Energiya Irkutsk, for the 2006/7 Russian Premier League Bandy Championship. This is the fourth season of the partnership, which began in 2003. For the coming campaign, the sponsorship amount will depend on the club’s final league position.

 

Departure Time Changes for Flights S7 1165/1166 (Moscow - Volgograd – Moscow)

Official statement

Sibir Airlines has not yet received the report from the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC). The statement published on the IAC’s website yesterday cannot be called clear and exhaustive. For example, the statement by the committee’s representatives does not cover the issues connected to the poor weather conditions and the state of the runway when the aircraft was landing. Nor does the IAC statement have a word to say about the fact that the immediate cause of the death of the crew and most of the passengers was the concrete barrier and the storage buildings that were practically next to the runway.

 

S7 to use Airbus A319 on more Novosibirsk routes

The Airbus 319 has replaced the Tu-154 on S7’s routes between Novosibirsk and Saint Petersburg, Beijing, Baku, Yerevan and Tashkent. Previously, S7’s only service from Novosibirsk using an A319 was to Moscow. Now, one of the 6 A319s in S7’s fleet will be based at Tolmachevo Airport, in order to perform flights from Novosibirsk. In future, S7 plans to expand the geographical scope of its flights from Novosibirsk with this make of aircraft.
