At the present time the administration of S7 Group of Companies is conducting negotiations with its Interline partner British Airways about the possibility for S7 Airlines to join the world wide aviation alliance - Oneworld

Oneworld is the international financial and marketing alliance of top airlines from around the globe. The founders of Oneworld are American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia and LAN Airlines. In April 2007 the Japanese group JAL, Jordanian Royal Airlines (Royal Jordanian), Hungarian airline Malеv Hungarian Airlines, Argentine LAN Argentina and Ecuadorean airline LAN Ecuador joined the Oneworld alliance.

S7 Airlines offers additional flights to the South

Owing to the growing number of passengers that are choosing Russian Black Sea resorts for their vacations, during the summer season S7 will provide additional flights on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from Moscow: a sixth flight toSochi (S7 1029/1030) and a third flight to Anapa (S7 1125/1126). In addition, secondary flights in the southerly direction are provided: to Krasnodar (S7 1147/1148, Six times a week, except for Thursday), Astrakhan (S7 1177/1178, four times a week: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday) andSimferopol (S7 163/164, made two times a week on weekends.

The annual general meeting of shareholders of Siberia Airlines, JSC took place today. Shareholders representing the ownership of 89.71 % of all common voting shares of the company were in attendance at the meeting.

During the presentation at the shareholders’ meeting of the annual report for 2006 the current situation of Siberia Airlines, JSC was presented, and priorities that will guide all future activities and the prospects of future development of the airline were stated.

New S7 Airlines main aircraft will fly on CFM engines

The S7 group of companies placed an order for the delivery of 75 CFM56 engines to equip their main aircraft which will carry out flights under the flag of S7 Airlines.S7 Charter. According to the catalogue prices of the manufacturer CFM International the contract value is about 500 million USD.

 

Airbus airplanes of the A320 family will form the basis of S7 Airlines main fleet.

Airbus airplanes of the A320 family will form the basis of S7 Airlines main fleet.

The S7 group of companies on behalf of S7 Airlines signed the contract with Airbus for the delivery of 25 new A320 airplanes. The contracting parties announced this today at the International Aerospace Show in Le Bourget. (Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, Paris-Le Bourget). The value of this deal - by catalog pricing - is more than 1.6 billion USD.
