As part of Pulkovo Airport's strategy for developing air links in Northwest Russia, S7 Airlines began operating regular flights between Moscow and Saint Petersburg on 1 September, and will start operating regular flights between Saint Petersburg and Sochi on 17 September.

Flights S7-039 and S7-040 between Moscow Domodedovo and Saint Petersburg are operated daily by S7 Airlines with comfortable Airbus A319 and Boeing 737-500 airliners. From 1 November, the airline will increase the frequency of its Saint Petersburg—Moscow flights to 3 a day, by adding morning and evening services. Tickets for these flights are already on sale.
