On 28 March 2008, S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by the number of transported passengers on domestic aviation routes, took delivery of a modern, new Airbus A320-200, which it is leasing from ILFC Company. Commissioned in Toulouse (France), the airplane was the first of four A320 aircraft that S7 Airlines will receive directly from the manufacturer for the summer season.
S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic aviation routes, will switch to its summer flight schedule on 30 March 2008 and it will remain in effect through 25 October 2008.
In the new season, S7 Airlines will focus on expanding existing routes, including new ones, and increase the frequency of flights while continuing to expand its route network and offer the most convenient transfers possible. In the summer period S7 Airlines will make regular flights to 97 cities in Russia and abroad.
The results of the joint rating of Kommersant newspaper and Turinfo information agency have been summed up.
According to the results of the sixth annual rating “The largest tour operators of Russia” prepared by Kommersant newspaper and Turinfo information agency, the tourist routes section of S7 group of companies occupied the fourth place among the largest tourist companies of Russia in 2007.
In 2007 the number of customers who used the services of the tourist routes section of S7 Group of companies increased up to 1.2 million people. The revenue was 407.8 million USD.
S7 Airlines, the largest domestic Russian airline, and Singapore Airlines concluded a prorate agreement which will give S7 Airlines’ passengers from Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe a unique opportunity to fly from Houston (USA) at special fares starting from March 20, 2008.
The flight on the route Moscow – Houston – Moscow is completed by Singapore Airlines from Domodedovo airport four times a week on a comfortable aircraft Boeing-777.
S7 Airlines, the largest domestic Russian airline, at 15:45 Moscow time started to sell tickets for its own flights to Georgia.
On March 30, 2008 when putting into action the summer timetable, S7 Airlines will start to complete flights to three Georgia’s cities: Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi.
S7 Airlines’ passengers can buy tickets for all flights to Georgia at prices from 152 EUR for a one way ticket and from 244 EUR for a round trip.
