S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, announces the opening of mutual electronic ticket sales on S7 Airlines flights and those of its foreign partners: American Airlines, Emirates, Japan Airlines, Malev Hungarian Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.
S7 Airlines was already cooperating with Emirates, Japan Airlines, Malev Hungarian Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines as part of previously-concluded interline agreements on mutual recognition of paper tickets. American Airlines is a new interline partner of S7 Airlines for both paper and electronic tickets.

S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, has launched electronic ticketing technology in the reservation system of Sirena-Travel on its own ticket stock.*
Sirena-Travel is an automated airline reservation system that is widely used by agents who sell tickets in the regions of Russia and the CIS. Previously through Sirena-Travel it was possible to purchase only paper tickets for S7 Airlines flights.
As part of its long-term fleet-renewal program, S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, received two new medium-range Airbus A320 airliners directly from the manufacturer in Toulouse, France on 21 and 23 May 2008 under an operational leasing agreement with ILFC Company.
The two new Airbus A320s are already being flown on S7 routes. The company will acquire six more new airplanes of this type by the end of 2008.
