S7 Engineering Expands Maintenance and Repair Capabilities

S7 Engineering, the S7 Group subsidiary that maintains and repairs foreign-made airplanes, has announced that it has successfully passed the audits of the European Aviation Safety Agency and the Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation and received certificates to engage in additional activities.

Besides S7 Airlines, S7 Engineering provides maintenance and repair services on foreign-made airplanes operated by other Russian and foreign airlines.

S7 Airlines named one of its aircraft after a contemporary Russian artist

S7 Airlines Company, the leading Russian air carrier as per the number of domestic flight passengers, for the first time in Russian aviation history named one of its aircraft - Airbus A319 after a contemporary Russian artist Timur Noviikov*.

The named air craft now has across its fuselage the subscription «Artist Timur Novikov», made in the artist’s famous style.

S7 Airlines Increases Number of Transported Passengers

S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, has announced its operating results for the first eight months of 2008.

A total of 4,220,000 passengers flew S7 Airlines in the period from January through August 2008, which was 16% more than in the same period of 2007.

The growth rate in passenger transport on S7 Airlines domestic routes during the period was 30%. The increase in the indicators is due to an increase in the number of flights on routes within Russia, as well as the opening of new routes.

S7 Airlines Opens Ticket Sales on New Moscow-Bangkok Flight

S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, announces the opening of airline ticket sales on the company’s own flights between Moscow and Bangkok (Thailand).

The regular flight will be operated three times a week beginning December 23, 2008. The trip duration from Moscow to Bangkok is 9 hours, and from Bangkok to Moscow 10.5 hours. Passengers will be offered two hot meals, beverages and travel sets during the flight.
