Beginning October 26, 2008, S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of passengers on domestic routes, offers its passengers modern comfortable A320 airliners on its Novosibirsk—Khabarovsk—Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Novosibirsk—Vladivostok—Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky routes. The company purchased the new airliners directly from the Airbus plant in Toulouse, France in 2008.

S7 Airlines Call Center Takes Three Millionth Call

On October 30, 2008 the call center of S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, took its three millionth call from the day it opened in March 2005.

Every day the S7 Airlines call center processes up to 5,000 calls in its multi-channel system to its toll-free (in Russia) number: 8-800-200-000-7.

S7 Named Most Punctual Airline at Domodedovo Airport

S7 Airlines (the OAO Sibir Airlines brand) has been named the most punctual airline at Moscow Domodedovo International Airport for September 2008.

The main criterion for assessing punctuality was flight regularity.

Regularity is expressed as the percentage of on-time completed flights from Domodedovo Airport to the total number of completed flights. Regularity is calculated taking into account weather conditions, i.e., flights delayed due to bad weather are not counted as delayed in the determination of regularity.

S7 Airlines Confirms Safe Air Carrier Status

S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, has successfully completed the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA)*, extending the certificate that it obtained in September 2007 to 2010.

The second IOSA audit, conducted by the officially accredited IATA organization ARGUS/PROS, was completed at S7 Airlines in October 2008 and consisted of two stages: an initial assessment of the state of safety and the company’s preparedness for the audit and the main audit of the state of operational safety.
