S7 has announced its passenger traffic results for the first ten months of 2008. The airline is steadily growing and increasing its passenger traffic.
A total of 5,688,000 passengers flew S7 in the period from January through October 2008, which was 19% more than in the same period of 2007. The company’s passenger traffic on domestic routes increased by 27% during the period.
S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of passengers on domestic routes, has begun to operate flights between Moscow and Vladikavkaz on a modern Airbus A319 airliner. The aircraft replaces a Soviet-made Tu-154.
On November 18, 2008 the Vladikavkaz Airport was certified to service Airbus A319 airplanes. This type of aircraft is ideal for flights to Vladikavkaz because it exerts an acceptable load on the runway during takeoff and landing.*
S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of passengers on domestic routes, announces the resumption of regular flights from Novosibirsk to Bishkek and back beginning November 20, 2008.
The flights are operated on a new modern Airbus A320 airliner that was acquired directly from the plant in Toulouse, France this past spring.
