New Airbus 320 joins S7 fleet

S7 Airlineshas announced the addition of a new Airbus A320 to its fleet. The aircraft arrived directly from the Airbus plant in Toulouse, France.

The airliner made its first flight today, 10th April 2013, on flight number 174 from Novosibirsk to Moscow. In the future it will be based at Moscow Domodedovo airport, making flights to Krasnodar, Saint Petersburg, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, and other cities on the airline’s route network.

The aeroplanewas received on lease terms from Air Lease Corporation. The Airbus A320 is a modern narrow-body aircraft featuring spacious cabins and capacious carry-on baggage compartments. The A320 family of aircrafts make up the bulk of the S7 Airlines fleet, as they best meet the needs of passengers on the company’s route network. The new aircraft is the 36thone of its type in the S7 Airlines fleet.

The aircraft is designed to carry 158 passengers: eight in business class and 150 in economy class. The cabin is equipped with modern Recaro seats from Germany, ensuring the most comfortable flight experience possible.

By the summer season S7 Airlines expects to receive another Airbus A320. Currently, the company’s fleet comprises 52 aircraft: 20 Airbus A319s, 16 Airbus A320 aircrafts, one Airbus A310, two long-haul Boeing 767-300s, four Boeing 737-400s, and nine Boeing 737-800s. S7 Airlines enjoys the newest and modern fleet in the Russian air transport market.
