S7 Airlines got two awards at the Cannes Lions 2014 Festival
S7 Airlines won awards in two categories at the Cannes Lions 2014 Festival.
A Silver Lion in the Mobile category was awarded for the Catch-a-plane iPhone app launched in April.
The project was designed and implemented by the Leo Burnett Moscow agency team. Every time when an airliner of S7 Airlines or any other oneworld alliance member airline flies over the user, the app sends a notification with the information on the airliner route. By clicking the “Catch a plane” button the user can get from 1 to 3 miles for every airliner in the S7 Priority programme depending on the flight time.
“The app is very popular. A half from 5 million miles available to compete for was awarded within the first several weeks since launching the app. The event is still running. Thanks to the app the number of frequent fliers, S7 Priority programme members, is increasing. With the app users can get ideas for their trips and obtain information on available air ticket fares”, Tatyana Fileva, S7 Group Marketing Director, noted.
A Bronze Lion of the Cannes Lions 2014 Festival in the Outdoor1 category was awarded for the S7 Airlines advertizing campaign Moscow – Kiev. The project was implemented by the creative agency Good Moscow.
The campaign was held in March to support S7 Airlines flights between Moscow and Kiev. Outdoor advertisement was placed in both cities. Designers used the peace sign as the prototype. S7 Airlines is above politics, and the idea of the advertizing campaign was that politics should not have any influence on relations between people, and everybody should have an opportunity to come to his or her friends and relatives.
