S7 Airlines improves the system of selling tickets via Internet
The new option is available for both paper and electronic tickets (e-tickets). When a paper ticket is presented at the point of transfer, a flight coupon is torn off it (the number of flight coupons is equal to the number of destination points); in case with an e-ticket— it is enough to show one’s passport. When buying tickets via the airline website www.FlyS7.com special «web tariffs» are available for passengers.
Connection routes offer wide opportunities for choosing the flight date and time, airplane type, as well as for buying tickets at special through tariffs.
Moreover, for passengers’ convenience there is a through registration service (till the point of final destination) on S7 Airlines connection flights. The through registration service allows to register luggage only once at the airport of departure and claim it at the point of final destination **.
S7 Airlines is the leader in implementing the modern e-ticketing technology in Russia. The company was the first to offer its clients the opportunity to buy e-tickets for domestic flights at the company’s agencies and via the airline website www.FlyS7.com. In January 2008 the part of the tickets sold via Internet was 16% of the total amount of tickets sold.
S7 Airlines is Russia’s largest domestic airline and one of the world’s top 50 airlines in this segment.
In 2007 the company received an official notification from the IATA about the inclusion of the airline in the registry of operators of IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) and became Russia’s second air carrier to successfully pass the full procedure of the international audit for conformity to operating safety standards.
S7 Airlines is one of Russia’s most stable airlines. It actively uses the latest achievements of the industry worldwide in the servicing of passengers and is actively expanding its service.
* Connection flight is a route from the airport of departure to the airport of destination completed by two different flights of one or different airlines with a transfer. The maximum of transfers which a passenger can make within one route is two, as a rule.
** This does not refer to flights from other countries to Russia — in this case, according to Russian requirements, a passenger must claim the luggage personally and go through customs at the airport of the first transfer.
