S7 Airlines wins in «Master of Brandbuilding» competition

«The award and the name of «Master of Brandbuilding» is given to 10 companies for outstanding success and achievements in the field of brand creation and promotion,» said a press release by the organizing committee of the competition. «It is not so much the brand that is rewarded, but the people behind creating and promoting it. It is a recognition of the professionalism of the team of managers and owners in the business.»

About the competition

The nominations were decided by an expert media panel. There was no need to apply for the awards; the panel decided which brands had excelled in brandbuiling themselves.

Nominees had no chance to influence the results, except by directly working to create and develop their brands. The competition was limited to the territory of Russia. There were no restrictions on the country of origin of companies, or on their industry sector.

To determine the winners, each expert on the jury (media representatives) suggested a list of 10-15 of the best brands/companies over the last years. The brands that received the most votes were given the «Master of Brandbuilding» award.

The competition moderators were leading international and Russian branding agencies. In 2006, this was Brand Finance London, BrandLab Moscow and CREA Milan.

The expert panel on the jury represented various business media outlets, including Harvard Business Review, SmartMoney, The Moscow Times, Biznes, Brand-Management, Vedomosti, Vzglyad, Industriya Reklamy, Kompaniya, Sekret Firmy, Top-Manager, Upravlenie Kompaniyei, Finans.
