How to check carry-on baggage dimensions

There are special sizers at the airport check-in area where you can check your carry-on baggage. Place your suitcase or bag inside. If your entire carry-on bag fits comfortably inside the sizer, it’s within the size limits and can be taken on board. If you have two bags in your carry-on baggage, both must fit inside the sizer at the same time.

What can you carry in hand luggage?

Compact personal items can be taken into the cabin in addition to your carry-on baggage allowance. However, their weight must not exceed 5 kg, and their total length, width, and height must not exceed 75 cm.

Each passenger can take with him no more than 2 power banks with a capacity of no more than 160 Wh. Power banks cannot be used during a flight. They must be placed in your carry-on luggage — under the seat or in the seat pocket in front.

What cannot be carried in hand luggage?

Liquids and gels in containers larger than 100 ml
Weapons of any type and items resembling them
Sharp or cutting objects: corkscrews, scissors, needles, axes, ice picks, blades, knives, swords, daggers, etc.
Crushing or striking weapons: bats, various types of batons, hand-to-hand combat weapons, etc.
Working tools: saws, crowbars, drills, drill bits, etc.
Syringes and hypodermic needles (allowed only with a doctor's note stating that the passenger needs an injection during the flight)
Mercury barometers and thermometers

For flight safety, it is prohibited to carry any items or substances from this list on the plane.

The final decision on the transportation of certain items in hand luggage is made by the aviation security officer at the departure airport.

Some states may restrict the import or export of certain products or items. Before traveling, be sure to check the customs regulations of the country you are flying to and make sure you are not bringing anything prohibited.

Where to put your belongings in the aircraft cabin

Place your belongings carefully in the overhead compartments to avoid inconvenience to other passengers. Do not leave your carry-on baggage in the aisle, especially in front of an emergency exit, as this can create difficulties if you need to quickly exit the aircraft.
Under the seat in front
If an employee at the check-in counter or during boarding places an orange tag on your carry-on baggage, you should place it under the seat in front of you. This is convenient: you can quickly retrieve what you need from there.
Overhead
If an employee at the check-in counter or during boarding places a green tag on your carry-on baggage for Economy Class or a purple tag for Business Class, you should place it in the overhead compartment above your seats.
If you have an exit row seat
In these seats, you won’t be able to store your belongings under the seat in front of you—safety regulations prohibit this. In this case, you can stow your carry-on baggage in any convenient overhead bin.
If there’s no space left in the cabin
If you’re the last person to board and there’s no space available anywhere—neither in the overhead bin nor under the seat in front—the flight attendants will ask ground crew to tag your carry-on baggage and place it in the overhead compartment. This is free.
