Destinations affected by COVID-19

In this section, we have collected all the relevant information about international flights, requirements for passengers and conditions for entering foreign countries.

All passengers arriving from abroad must fill out a form for arriving in Russia to cross the border. Citizens of the Russian Federation can fill out a questionnaire in advance on the the Gosuslugi portal (Public Services Portal of the Russian Federation) before leaving for the Russian Federation.

After returning home, citizens of the Russian Federation must take a coronavirus test and upload the results to the “Gosuslugi” portal (Public Services Portal of the Russian Federation). The test results must be uploaded to the portal within 96 hours after returning (Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor). Until results are obtained, self-isolation at home must be followed.

Citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the past 12 months or who have had an illness in the last 6 months are not required to be tested. Information about vaccination or previous COVID-19 disease must be posted on the portal “Gosuslugi” portal (Public Services Portal of the Russian Federation) based on information obtained from the unified state information system in the field of health care.

Foreign citizens who have the right to enter the Russian Federation, must present the certificate of the COVID PCR-test’s negative results to the security staff. The test must be done no earlier than three calendar days before arrival on the territory of the Russian Federation (the period is calculated from the moment of sampling of the biomaterial). It is allowed to provide the results of the PCR test in the language of the country of departure, with a translation into Russian, the accuracy of which is certified by a consular official of the Russian Federation.

To confirm the right of a foreign citizen to enter the Russian Federation in accordance with the order of the Government of Russia 635-r for treatment in medical institutions, training (for students) or for the purpose of work, it is necessary to provide official documents. The airline employees will check the entry permit on the Gosuslugi” portal (Public Services Portal of the Russian Federation) using the passport number. If there is no information on the passenger on the website, we will be forced to refuse carriage.

Flights from Russia to Vienna are available on s7.ru, and flights to Innsbruck will also resume from December 19.

From November 22, a general lockdown will be in effect in Austria for 20 days.

Before departure from Russia, passengers need to register on the website. The document is provided at the request of local authorities.

To enter Austria, all passengers must provide the airline employee with a negative coronavirus test (PCR, LAMP, TMA), taken no earlier than 72 hours before entering Austria. The test result must be submitted in English or German. This requirement does not apply to children under 12 years of age accompanied by an adult.

The test result is not required if you have a complete vaccination certificate (BioNtech / Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson / Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Sinopharm, Vero Cell), issued no more than 270 days before entering the country, or a certificate of recovery.

Upon arrival in Austria, quarantine must be observed for 10 days. The quarantine may be terminated early after a negative coronavirus test was performed earlier than the 5th day after entering the country.


The following categories of passengers are exempt from electronic check-in and quarantine upon arrival:

  • citizens who make regular business trips;
  • passengers traveling to study at a school or higher education institution;
  • entering the country under the treaty on international organizations, for official reasons, humanitarian workers entering for medical reasons and their accompanying persons, persons entering to fulfill mandatory judicial or administrative obligations, upon entry for unforeseen and especially important family reasons (illness, death relative, birth);
  • passengers with a vaccination certificate. Vaccination is performed with one of the following vaccines: Comirnaty (INN) BioNtech / Pfizer; Vaxzevria COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca / Covishield Serum Institute of India; COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen Johnson & Johnson; mRNA-1273 Covid-19 Vaccine Moderna; Sinopharm / BIBP SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), provided that the second dose of the vaccine was administered not less than 14 days and not more than 270 days before entering the country, and the following children under the age of 18 years.

All citizens over 6 years old must wear masks with FFP2 filters in all public places, including the airport. Analogues with the same or higher degree of protection are allowed. The requirement does not apply to citizens who cannot wear masks for health reasons.

Flights from Austria to Russia

Citizens of the Russian Federation can purchase tickets for flights from Austria to Russia on s7.ru to return home.

Within 96 hours after returning home, citizens of the Russian Federation must pass a coronavirus test and upload the results to the public services portal (Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor). Until results are obtained, self-isolation at home must be followed.

Foreign citizens who who have the right to enter the Russian Federation before boarding a flight to Russia must present to the control officers a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus. The certificate must be issued no earlier than 72 hours before arrival in Russian or English.

For flights to Azerbaijan, in accordance with the current rules, they will be accepted if there is a negative result of a PCR test made less than 72 hours before the departure of the flight:

  • citizens of Azerbaijan;
  • passengers, upon presentation of documents confirming kinship, whose close relatives are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan (one of the parents, sister, brother, husband, wife or child, grandfather, grandmother and grandson (granddaughter), including family members of such passengers (husband, wife, parents, children);
  • holders of diplomatic passports, heads, employees of diplomatic missions and consulates of foreign countries in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and members of their families;
  • foreigners and stateless persons who have a work permit in the Republic of Azerbaijan, a permit for temporary or permanent residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and their family members (wife (husband), parents in their care and children under 18 years of age, as well as children with disabilities who have reached the age of 18);
  • passengers who have been issued a special permit to enter the country by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Other foreign nationals not listed above will only be accepted on the flight if the following conditions are met:

  • Passengers over 18 years old — with an official certificate confirming the completion of the full course of vaccination, or an official document on recovery from COVID-19. In addition to a certificate of vaccination or a document of recovery, it is required to provide a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, made no earlier than 72 hours before the departure of the flight. A vaccination certificate, a document on recovery, a certificate with the results of a PCR test must have attributes of electronic verification, for example, a QR code. These documents will be checked upon check-in at the airport.
  • Passengers aged from 1 to 18 years old — upon presentation of a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, made no earlier than 72 hours before the departure of the flight. Help with PCR test results must have electronic verification attributes, for example, a QR code. Children under one year of age do not need to present a test result.

All passengers (including Azerbaijani citizens, vaccinated passengers, and passengers with recovery documents) must present to the control officers a paper form of a negative PCR test for coronavirus before boarding a flight at the airport of departure. The test must be done less than 72 hours before departure (the time is calculated from the moment of sampling for analysis). A PCR test is not required for children under 1 year old.

Flights from Azerbaijan to Russia

To depart from Azerbaijan, it is required to arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before the departure of the flight; only departing passengers are allowed to the airport building.

Within 96 hours after returning home, citizens of the Russian Federation must pass a coronavirus test and upload the results to the public services portal (Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor). Within 5 days after returning, you must re-take the coronavirus test and upload it to the public services portal. The time difference between the first and second test must be at least one day. For flights to Russia, with valid entry documents, passengers will be subject to a negative PCR test for coronavirus uploaded to the “Travelling without COVID-19” app.

On flights to Armenia, passengers who have the right to enter Armenia are accepted for transportation.

Citizens of countries requiring an Armenian visa must obtain it in advance and have it when boarding an aircraft.

The issuance of visas upon arrival at the Yerevan airport is currently not carried out.

The passengers must have a negative result of PCR test for COVID-19, done no earlier than 72 hours prior to entering the country. The test results must be presented as a paper certificate in Armenian, Russian or English. The certificate must contain family name, given name, date of birth, passport number, date and time of the test. Persons arriving from the Russian Federation can provide information using the “Travel COVID-19 Free application. It is allowed to have a PCR test after arriving in Armenia, in which case one needs to maintain isolation until the test results are obtained. More details

Flights from Armenia to Russia

Passengers who are allowed to enter the country under time constraints will be accepted on flights to Bulgaria. These include:

  • citizens of the Russian Federation without restrictions, with a valid Bulgarian or Schengen visa type “C” or “D” or other document, in accordance with the visa regulations of Bulgaria;
  • Bulgarian citizens and members of their families (spouses and children);
  • citizens of EU countries, Schengen countries (including San Marino, Andorra, Monaco, Vatican) and their family members;
  • citizens of Austria, Vatican, Hungary, Norway, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Finland, Czech Republic;
  • holders of a valid Bulgarian long-term visa “D”;
  • persons with a residence permit in Bulgaria and their family members;
  • medical and social workers, if the purpose of the trip is related to their profession;
  • students.

Passengers who do not meet the conditions above cannot be accepted on the flight.

All passengers over 12 years old flying to Bulgaria from Russia must provide one of the following documents:

  • negative result of PCR test on paper form in English or Bulgarian. The test must be done no earlier than 72 hours before arrival in the country;
  • antigen test on paper form in English or Bulgarian, done less than 48 hours before entering the country;
  • a certificate of vaccination in English, provided that the second dose of the vaccine was administered more than 14 days before entering the country. List of recognized vaccines: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AZD1222 (SK Bioscience Co Ltd.), Covieshield, Janssen, Moderna, Comirnaty / Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac and GamKovidVak (Sputnik V).
  • The exception is valid for Bulgarian citizens, persons with a residence permit and members of their families; upon arrival in Bulgaria, such passengers must self-isolate for 10 days at their place of permanent residence. Self-isolation can be canceled if a negative PCR test is presented within 24 hours of arrival at the regional health office. More details;
  • a certificate in English or Bulgarian, confirming recovery, valid from the 11th to the 180th day from the date of the test with a positive result for coronavirus. The certificate must indicate: the last name and first name of the passenger, written in Latin, in accordance with the identity document on the basis of which he enters Bulgaria, the date of birth, the date of the first positive result of the PCR test, information about the medical institution that conducted the test or issued certificate, name of the country in which the test was made.

This requirement is valid until August 31, 2021.

Flights from Bulgaria to Russia

Currently, Russia is included in the list of countries with a particularly high risk of infection.

Passengers who are allowed to enter the country under temporary restrictions will be accepted on flights to Germany. These include:

  • german citizens and their closest relatives (spouses, children under 18, parents of children under 18);
  • citizens of the European Union, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland and their family members (spouses, children under 18, parents of children under 18 and / or partners from the same family);
  • third-country nationals with a long-term residence permit in Germany and their immediate family members (spouses, children under 18, parents of children under 18) and / or partners from the same family;
  • passengers of other nationalities with a confirmed connecting flight from Germany to non-Schengen countries, provided that during the transfer to the connecting flight, passengers are in the airport transit area and do not leave it.

Before departure from Russia, all passengers must register on the website https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de.

Every passenger aged 12 and over arriving in Germany must present one of the following documents at check-in:

  • negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, done no earlier than 72 hours before entering the country;
  • antigen test done no earlier than 48 hours before entering the country;
  • certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19, vaccines registered in the EU. The second dose of vaccine must be given more than 14 days before departure.
  • confirmation of recovery (positive PCR test for COVID-19, made for at least 28 days, but not more than 6 months).

After arriving in Germany, passengers are required to comply with the local quarantine rules published here. In all public areas, including the airport, only FFP2 masks are required. Children under 6 are exempt from wearing masks. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 must wear medical masks.

In the period from November 24, 2021. until March 19, 2022, restrictions on public transport have been introduced. Only vaccinated passengers can use road, rail or air transport within Germany, provided that the vaccine is approved by the EMA, who have had a coronavirus infection or have a negative coronavirus test taken no more than 24 hours before the start of the trip.

For passengers arriving in Germany from the Russian Federation, a mandatory quarantine regime has been established for a period of 10 days from the date of entry. For children under 12 years old, quarantine can be terminated on the 5th day after entry without passing tests.

The quarantine is valid until proof is provided: of complete vaccination or recovery, by transferring electronic documents through the portal https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de.

The quarantine period can be shortened if a negative test is provided no earlier than on the 5th day after arrival in Germany.

Passengers who do not meet the conditions above will not be accepted on the flight.


Flights from Germany to Russia

At airports in Germany, there are restrictions on the amount of carry-on luggage due to measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Passengers are allowed to present no more than 1 piece of carry-on baggage for inspection, with the exception of small handbags, briefcases, backpacks, tablet bags and similar small bags. We recommend that any additional bags / suitcases / boxes, etc., which are the second or third piece of hand luggage, should be checked in.

In the period from November 24, 2021 to March 19, 2022, travel on public transport is allowed only to those who have been vaccinated (the vaccine must be approved by the EMA), who have recovered from the disease or who have presented a negative test for coronavirus, performed no more than 24 hours before the start of the trip (tests are not accepted for self-testing in this case). Supporting documents must be issued within the territory of the European Union. This requirement does not apply to children and adolescents, as well as when using a taxi. If you are flying to Russia via Germany, please check the requirements for staying in the airport transfer area. For transfer passengers traveling through Germany to third countries, a negative PCR test result in English is required. This requirement applies to transfer passengers over 6 years old arriving from countries (Brazil, India, South Africa and others), where new strains of coronavirus are common.

Citizens of the Russian Federation over 12 years old must present a negative PCR test for coronavirus at check-in at the airport in Russia on a paper form in English or Russian, indicating the name and passport number of the passenger. The PCR test must be done no earlier than 72 hours before entering the country. The express PCR test must be done no earlier than 48 hours before entering the country.This requirement applies even to those with a vaccination certificate. For citizens of other countries, instead of the test results indicated above, you can provide a certificate of vaccination, a certificate of a past illness or a European digital certificate.

All passengers are required to complete a Passenger Identification Form (PLF) no later than one day before arriving in Greece. After filling out the form, the passenger will receive a QR code, which must be presented to the airline employee at the airport of departure and to the immigration officer at the airport of arrival. It is allowed to fill in one form for the whole family. It is also recommended to install the Visit Greece app in advance of your arrival in Greece.

After arriving in Greece, the airport is re-testing free of charge for COVID-19 for all passengers arriving from Russia.

Flights from Greece to Russia

Citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign citizens who are allowed to enter the Russian Federation can purchase tickets on s7.ru for flights from Greece to Russia.

To enter Egypt, all passengers over 6 years old, including Egyptians, must have a negative PCR test on a paper form in English. The test is not required for vaccinated passengers, provided that the second dose of vaccine was administered more than 14 days before entering the country. The proof of vaccination is a certificate in English with a QR code. List of recognized vaccines: Sputnik V, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Johnson & Johnson. Arriving in Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh can take a PCR test upon arrival in Egypt. The cost of the test at the airport is about US $ 30. At Hurghada airport, payment for testing is possible only with VISA cards.

It is required to complete a health questionnaire for each passenger. The questionnaires will need to be handed over to the flight attendant before the plane lands in Egypt.

Flights from Egypt to Russia

Passengers who are allowed to enter the country under time constraints will be accepted on flights to Spain. These include:

  • Citizens of Spain, the Schengen countries and the European Union, as well as their closest relatives;
  • Citizens with a residence permit in Spain and Andorra;
  • Citizens who have a residence permit in the countries of the Schengen Agreement or the European Union, the Vatican, San Marino, subject to the availability of air tickets for a flight to the country of residence departing from Spain within 24 hours;
  • full-time students, entry must be made during the period of study or no more than 15 days before the start of study;
  • Holders of a valid long-term visa “D” issued by one of the EU or Schengen states, subject to the availability of air tickets for a flight to the country of residence departing from Spain within 24 hours;
  • persons with vaccination certificates and the following children under 12 years of age. The vaccine must be approved by the EMA or WHO (Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca, Janssen, Covishield, Sinopharma and Sinovac);
  • Diplomats and consular staff.

Passengers who do not meet the conditions above will not be able to be accepted on the flight.

Passengers, prior to their flight from Russia to Spain, must complete the FCS Health Monitoring Form here or download the SpTH app on their phone and fill out the form in the app. At the airport of arrival, you must show the airport staff the QR code generated from the completed form.

All passengers (including Spanish citizens) departing from Russia are accepted for carriage only if there is a negative PCR test performed no earlier than 72 hours before entering the country, or an antigen test (RAT on SARS-CoV- 2), made no earlier than 48 hours before entering the country. The test result must be on paper in Spanish, English, German or French. The test is not required for passengers who have presented a certificate of recovery, and for vaccinated passengers if more than 14 days have passed since the date of the second dose of vaccine. Flights from Spain to Russia

Flights from Russia to Italy

Flights from Moscow to Verona, Bologna, Rome and Milan are available on s7.ru. Flights to Turin will resume from December 25, 2021. Flight schedule is available here.

All passengers arriving in Italy must present a negative coronavirus test (PCR test or antigen test) on paper form in English or Italian, taken less than 72 hours before entering the country. The test result must be presented to the airline employee at check-in (More details). The test is not required for children under 6 years old and passengers who plan to stay in the country for less than 120 hours.

Passengers who are permitted to enter Italy under the temporary restrictions will be accepted on flights to Italy. See here for detailed information on the requirements to enter Italy.

When flying to Italy, at the request of the Italian authorities, you must fill out a PLF form — justification for entering Italy on the website. A PLF form must be completed for each adult passenger. It is allowed to check in minor passengers at the same time as the accompanying adult. More details

After submitting the form, the passenger will receive a confirmation in pdf format and a QR code to the email address provided during check-in. The received QR code must be printed and presented to the airline employee before boarding the flight. Additionally, the printed QR code will need to be presented to the immigration control officer at the destination airport.

From September 1, to travel to your place of permanent residence, you may need a Green Pass. To get a Green Pass, you can take a PCR test at an express testing point at the airport or at the station square (location depends on the airport of arrival).

Upon arrival in Italy, a 10-day quarantine is required. At the end of the quarantine, it is necessary to take the COVID-19 test again.

To plan your trip to Turkey, consider the local sanitary and epidemiological measures for tourists:

  • a negative PCR test result not older than 72 hours from the moment of testing or the result of an express test (with a QR code) not older than 48 hours from the moment of testing until the moment of arrival at the border crossing point;
  • a certificate of full vaccination with two doses of the vaccine used in the EU Member States (the Russian two-component vaccine “Sputnik V” is also recognized), not older than 365 days, provided that 14 days have passed since the second dose was received;
  • a certificate confirming recovery from COVID-19 and receiving one dose of the vaccine within eight months after infection with the virus, provided that the vaccine was administered less than 12 months ago;
  • a positive PCR or rapid antigen test, confirming that the owner has recovered from a SARS-CoV-2 viral infection that was carried out in the previous 365 days and that is older than 11 days from the date of arrival at the border crossing point or a certificate of recovery from COVID -19, issued by a doctor.

A PCR test is not required for children under 12 years of age, provided that an accompanying adult passenger has a negative PCR test or other document specified above.

  • passengers traveling on a business trip need an official invitation from a Croatian partner company;
  • citizens of Croatia, Schengen countries, as well as their family members must provide documents confirming citizenship and kinship;
  • citizens who have a residence permit in Croatia, Schengen countries or the European Union, Andorra, Vatican, San Marino must provide an identity document and a residence permit;
  • holders of a valid long-term “D” visa issued by one of the EU countries must provide a passport with a visa.

Flights from Croatia to Russia

Within 96 hours after returning home, citizens of the Russian Federation must take a coronavirus test and upload the results to the public services portal (Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor). Until results are obtained, self-isolation at home must be followed.

Citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the past 12 months or who have had an illness in the last 6 months are not required to be tested. Information about vaccination or previous COVID-19 disease must be uploaded to the State Service portal.

Foreign citizens who have the right to enter the Russian Federation before boarding a flight to Russia must present to the control officers a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus. The certificate must be issued no earlier than 72 hours before departure in Russian or English.

Ticket sales in the direction are open for flights departing after April 29, 2022.

According to the requirements of the South Korean authorities, on S7 Airlines flights from Russia to Seoul, there are restrictions on the categories of passengers who can fly, including restrictions on the types of visas accepted. Please read the information in this section carefully before purchasing a ticket, as well as a few days before your flight.

Please note that visa-free travel to South Korea is temporarily prohibited.

Passengers with a valid visa of any type will be accepted on flight from Vladivostok to Seoul on November 28, December 12 and 26, 2021.

On special charter flights to Seoul from Vladivostok on other dates (not indicated above), as well as on all flights to Seoul from Novosibirsk, only the following passengers will be accepted:

  • citizens of the Republic of Korea;
  • F-6 visa holders and their minor children;
  • F-5 visa holders;
  • employees of diplomatic, social missions and members of their families with A-1 and A-2 visas;
  • transfer passengers, if they do not leave the transit zone, subject to the requirements of the receiving carrier to exclude a possible denial of transportation (due to the restrictions of the aviation authorities of South Korea, transfer passengers will not be accepted on the flight from Vladivostok to Seoul on November 18, 21 and 25, December 2, 5, 9, 16, 19, 23, 25 and 30, 2021).

All other passengers will be denied transportation.

Requirements for entering Korea are subject to change. Please check the latest information on the current restrictions 3 days before the flight.

All passengers arriving in South Korea must install a special application 'Self-quarantine safety protection mobile app' on mobile devices, fill out a Health Declaration Form and a Special Quarantine Declaration, these documents must be presented to employees at Vladivostok airport at check-in and upon arrival in Seoul. All passengers arriving in South Korea must have a 14-day quarantine.

All passengers (including citizens of South Korea) departing from Russia are allowed for carriage only if they have a negative PCR test. The test must be done no earlier than 72 hours before departure. The test result must be on paper in Korean or English. If the test results are provided in Russian, then you must additionally provide a certified translation into Korean or English. The form with the test results must contain the last name, first name, date of birth and passport number of the passenger, the date and time of the tests. This requirement does not apply to children under 6 years of age.

Passengers who do not meet the conditions above will not be able to be accepted on the flight.

To prevent infections of animal disease and plant pests travelers to Republic Korea are strictly prohibited to bring animal products like fresh meat, plant products and fresh fruits. If you carry such items, please declare them and dispose in quarantine boxes upon arrival. Violators will be fined up to 10 million won. All travelers should avoid visiting livestock related areas like animal farms and markets.

Flights from Korea to Russia

Russian citizens can purchase tickets for flights from Seoul to Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. Sale is also open for flights from Busan to Vladivostok, starting from November 20, 2021.

After returning home, citizens of the Russian Federation must take a coronavirus test and upload the results to the Public Services Portal of the Russian Federation. The test results must be uploaded to the portal within 96 hours after return (Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor). Until results are obtained, self-isolation at home must be observed.

Citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the past 12 months or who have had an illness in the last 6 months are not required to be tested. Information about vaccination or previous COVID-19 disease must be uploaded to the Public Services Portalof the Russian Federation.

Foreign citizens who have the right to enter the Russian Federation, prior to boarding a flight to Russia,must present to the control officers a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus in Russian or English. The test must be done less than 72 hours before departure.

Flights from Vladivostok to Narita are available on s7.ru after December 28, 2021.

In the conditions of the current flight restrictions, the following will be accepted:

  • Citizens of Japan;
  • Residents of Japan (holding valid residence cards);
  • Crews of sea vessels.

At the airport of departure, all passengers are required to present a certificate with a negative result of the PCR test for coronavirus in English or Japanese. The test should be done on the basis of a Nasopharyngeal swab or a SALIVA TEST (Saliva). Upon arrival, all passengers pass a free PCR test and in case of a negative result they will be admitted to the country.

Prior to departure, passengers should complete the Quarantine Questionnaire. After completing the questionnaire, the application will generate a QR code, which must be presented at the destination airport.

Flights from Japan to Russia

Within 96 hours after returning home, citizens of the Russian Federation must take a coronavirus test and upload the results to the public services portal (Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor). Within 5 days after returning, you must re-take the coronavirus test and upload it to the public services portal. The time difference between the first and second test must be at least one day. Until results are obtained, self-isolation at home must be followed.

Foreign citizens who have the right to enter the Russian Federation before boarding a flight to Russia must present to the control officers a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus. The certificate must be issued no earlier than 72 hours before departure in Russian or English.
