In June, S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance, expects to resume flights for all domestic routes that were operated during the winter of 2020 and summer of 2019. Most of the new destinations are being launched as part of the route network development of Siberian hubs in Novosibirsk and Irkutsk.

S7 Airlines is the only airline that operates direct scheduled flights from Irkutsk to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, from Novosibirsk to Volgograd and Orenburg, and from Vladivostok to Anadyr.

New southern destinations are being added to the airline’s route network: starting in June, S7 Airlines will offer passengers from Irkutsk direct flights to destinations on the Black Sea coast, including Sochi and Simferopol.

During the summer season, new interregional flights are expanding the geographical reach of S7 Airlines with flights departing from Moscow: In June, regular flights will be available from the Domodedovo Airport to Ulyanovsk and Gelendzhik, the first flights to Makhachkala are scheduled for August.

“The easing of quarantine measures and the traditional seasonality of air travel certainly have an impact on demand. According to our estimates, the market is continuing to recover: in June, we expect passenger traffic to increase by 50% compared to May, and the number of flights to increase by 40%. We expect the positive trends will continue throughout the other months of summer,” says Grigory Davydov, Deputy General Director of Strategy at the S7 Group.

For the first time in the 2020 summer schedule, S7 Airlines will operate flights in its network of routes using Embraer 170s, which were introduced earlier this year: from Novosibirsk to Nizhnekamsk, Magnitogorsk, Barnaul, Kemerovo, Gorno-Altaysk, and Khanty-Mansiysk.

S7 Airlines flights are operated with aircraft produced by the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers. The airline’s fleet includes modern and comfortable airliners such as the Airbus A320, Airbus A320neo, Boeing 737-800, and Embraer 170. Cleaning agents are mandatory when cleaning all S7 Airlines flights, and special consideration is given to the surfaces with which passengers come in contact most often, such as folding tables, armrests, and baggage racks.

To facilitate the boarding process, economy class passengers are invited to board in groups starting with the back of the aircraft. To maintain safe distances, when possible, the check-in system assigns seats to passengers across a row and a space apart from each other.
