When all Seine embankments have been explored and your beloved Canal Saint-Martin has nothing more to offer, go down to Porte de l'Arsenal in-between the canal and Seine, two steps from Place de la Bastille. Some pass by it without even noticing. Paris doesn't have that many secret places in the center, that's what makes this park so good. So take sandwiches and wine, seat on a lawn-terrace and watch yachts of all shapes and colors imagining you are in a peaceful port town not in noisy Paris. You can have lunch in a small restaurant while kids can play on a huge playground.
