La Bellevilloise is the new reincarnation of a building where the first workers' co-operative in Paris was located. Now it is a hot spot in the north of Paris, with regular concerts and parties (often free). Its exhibition space hosts film and music festivals, and also there is a bar and a restaurant – in a nutshell, something interesting is always going on. The best brunches are served in the Halle aux Oliviers. On Saturday mornings Marconville farm organizes a bio-market with fresh vegetables, fruit and eggs; later the unsold products are used to cook dinner. On Sundays the place hosts jazz-brunches: in a spacious room with a glass roof and olive trees stands a buffet, all tables are occupied, with children running around and pet dogs sleeping, while on a small stand a jazz band plays (bands are different but always excellent). The main thing is to book a table in advance – don't count on finding a free place.
