A Boeing 737-800NG added to S7 Airlines fleet
S7 Airlines is announcing the commissioning of a new Boeing 737-800NG.1
The aircraft painted in the livery of S7 Airlines has been added to the fleet of the «Globus« airline (operating under the brand of S7 Airlines) on the terms of lease from ILFC.2 The airliner is designed to carry 162 passengers with 12 business class seats and 150 economy class seats.
The aircraft is based at the Moscow «Domodedovo» airport and has already been making flights between Moscow and Novosibirsk, Norilsk, Kazan, Sochi and other destinations of the S7 Airlines route network.
The new aircraft has become the seventh Boeing 737-800NG in the company’s fleet. In June 2012 another two aircraft of this type are expected to be received.
S7 Airlines enjoys one of the most modern and «youngest» aircraft fleets on the Russian air transportation market. The average age of the aircraft used by S7 Airlines is eight years. The company operates its flights exclusively on aircraft of the leading foreign manufacturers — Airbus and Boeing. The fleet of S7 Airlines consists o 48 aircraft: 20 Airbus A319s, 14 Airbus A320s, one Airbus A310, two long haul Boeing 767-300 aircrafts, four Boeing 737-400s and seven Boeing 737-800NGs.
