Electronic Tickets Now Available on All S7 Airlines Regular Flights

S7 Airlines passengers can also purchase electronic tickets on the routes of its partner airlines. For example, in October and November, 2008, S7 Airlines began to sell electronic tickets on the flights of Globus Airlines (Russia) and Hainan Airlines (China). When purchasing such tickets, passengers receive an itinerary/receipt on an S7 Airlines blank, which is convenient, for example, when transferring to another flight. The passenger is given a single ticket on the flight of S7 Airlines and its partner airline. Electronic tickets are currently accepted on the flights of 40 partner airlines of S7 Airlines.

In early 2005 S7 Airlines became Russia’s first airline to launch Internet sales of airline tickets through its own website. In April, 2007 the company became the first airline in Russia to begin selling electronic tickets. On June 1, 2008 the International Air Transport Association (IATA) recommended that all of its member airlines fully transfer to the sale of electronic tickets. Today, S7 Airlines issues electronic tickets on all of the company’s own regular Russian and international routes. More and more passengers of S7 Airlines are now choosing electronic tickets. There are already domestic and international S7 Airlines flights on which all of the tickets issued are electronic.

S7 Airlines electronic tickets can be purchased on our website at www.S7.ru, at the company’s own S7 BILET sales locations, as well as from ticket sales agents. For the convenience of passengers, in November 2008 the company introduced a service that allows payment for airline tickets booked on the website www.S7.ru through the Yandex.Money payment system.

S7 Airlines (the OAO Sibir Airlines brand) is the largest airline on Russia’s domestic routes and one of the top 50 airlines in the world in this segment.

In 2007 the company received an official notification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) about the airline’s certification in that organization, becoming the second carrier in Russia to successfully pass the IATA Operational Safety Audit. In October 2008, the certificate was successfully extended to 2010.

S7 Airlines is one of Russia’s most stable airlines, incorporating the latest achievements of the world industry in the servicing of passengers and actively expanding its service. S7 Airlines won the annual national “People’s Brand / Brand No. 1 in Russia” prize in 2007.
