Information for S7 Airlines Passengers Flying from Beijing

From 20 August 2015 the security standard at the Beijing airport was raised to level five. This was done in connection with preparations for celebration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

Due to tightened control procedures passengers flying from Beijing should arrive at the airport in advance to have enough time to pass through all airport formalities and the security control.

From 16 August 2015 it is prohibited to transport lithium batteries, charging devices, lighters in the baggage. The airport security services warn that baggage may be opened without consent of the passengers in order to seize any prohibited items.

S7 Airlines is asking the passengers to arrive at the airport in advance and not to transport any prohibited items in the baggage, including on transfer flights with connections at Chinese airports.
