Mobile boarding pass on S7 flights from Yerevan and Tbilisi

S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, announces the introduction of the “Mobile boarding pass” technology at the airports of Yerevan (Armenia) and Tbilisi (Georgia).

“We are constantly developing electronic services, that enable passengers to travel with comfort and save time at the airport. Now S7 Passengers, who checked-in online and fly from Yerevan or Tbilisi, can proceed directly to the security check. You can only your passport and mobile phone” — Dmitry Chuyko, S7 Group E-Commerce Director, noted.

A passenger receives his mobile boarding pass on his phone in the form of an SMS-or email message1 after completing online check-in for the flight using the mobile phone or on the website www.s7.ru.

Clicking the link in the message the passenger receives a 2D bar-code of the mobile boarding pass, that contains the whole necessary information for boarding: flight number, route, departure/arrival date and time, boarding time and exit number, seat onboard.

In order to use a mobile boarding pass in the airports of Yerevan and Tbilisi, you just need to have it displayed on your mobile phone screen and present the 2D bar-code for scanning at the airport.

The service is also available at the airports of Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, Samara, and also Munich, Frankfurt and Bangkok. At the airports of Russia before passing the security check a passenger should come up to a special device for passengers with a mobile boarding pass (Mobile Check-in) and have his 2D bar-code scanned from the mobile phone screen. After checking the data the device will issue a copy of a paper boarding pass2.

Online check-in opens 30 hours and closes 50 minutes before the scheduled departure time. During online check-in the passenger can choose his seat and see his travelling companions by adding his profile in a social network. Passengers travelling only with carry-on baggage can on arrival at the airport proceed directly to the preflight security control. The other passengers need to check-in their baggage at the counters not later than 40 minutes before the departure time.
