S7 Airlines and SriLankan launch codeshare flights
S7 Airlines and SriLankan Airlines, members of the oneworld® global aviation alliance, have concluded a codeshare agreement providing for flights to popular tourist destinations in Asia.
Beginning from 15 May 2014 the airlines will perform codeshare flights from Moscow to the capital of Sri-Lanka — Colombo — and to Bangkok with a convenient connection at the Colombo airport (Thailand). The flights will be made on the Airbus A320 modern aircraft of SriLankan Airlines.
Thanks to the agreement passengers of SriLankan, in their turn, are now able to travel from Colombo to six Russian cities — Saint-Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Chelyabinsk and Volgograd.
SriLankan joined the oneworld® global aviation alliance on 1 May 2014. Members of the S7 Priority programme can earn status and award miles travelling on flights of SriLankan Airlines as well as have bonus tickets issued for them.
