S7 Airlines carried over 10.6 million passengers in 2015

S7 Group1 member airlines summarized the results of their activity in 2015. During the last year 10 630 767 passengers used the services of S7 Airlines, which is 5.6% more than a year before.  

During the whole year a more intensive growth was indicated on domestic routes — within 12 months the Group member airlines carried within Russia over 7 569 202 passengers, which is 11.7 % more, than in 2014. New destinations and Russian cities were added to the S7 Airlines route network, among them are Nizhnekamsk, Salekhard, Mirny, Blagoveshchensk.

The total number of performed flights increased by 3% up to 88 695. The passenger turnover in January-December 2015 grew by 3% up to 21 781 909 thousand pkm., cargo turnover grew by 2.5% and reached 2 070 490 thousand tkm.

In 2015 S7 Airlines was rated the most punctual airline in the world for seven months, becoming the leader of the international FlightStats rating, moreover it was the punctuality leader of the Domodedovo Airport, the airline’s main hub.

Now flying with S7 Airlines is even more convenient — last year the airline shifted to a new flexible fare system. Now passengers have an opportunity to choose, what they really need in a trip, and pay only for those services, which they use. E.g. if a passenger is sure of the trip dates and is travelling only with carry-on baggage, he/she can choose Economy Basic Fare. Such ticket is not refundable, it includes one piece of carry-on baggage up to 10 kg, but the ticket cost is significantly lower.  

“The results of 2015 correspond to our forecasts. In 2016 we will offer more travel destinations to S7 Airlines passengers. New internal and international routes will appear in the airline’s schedule. Tickets to new flights to Berlin, Dusseldorf, Spanish Malaga, Ibiza and Greek Rhodes are already on sale. Our passengers from Novosibirsk will be able to take direct flights to Krasnodar and Mineralnye Vody. Moreover during the year we will increase the frequency of flights on 45 existing internal and international routes”, Igor Veretennikov, S7 Group Strategy Director, noted.
