S7 Airlines Central Regional Affiliate Increased Passenger Traffic by 51% in 2007

In all, 449,718 passengers were transported through the efforts of the CRA in 2007, which is 51% more than the analogous indicator for 2006, when 295,995 passengers were transported. The average flight was loaded to 72.9% capacity.

A new S7 Airlines hub in Perm was established in 2007. A total of 270,813 passengers flew on 3,271 flight segments this year departing from or arriving in Perm. In addition, the company has formed its own flight detachment and cabin crew in Perm. Thirteen pilots were retrained on the A319, 15 on the Boeing 737 and 51 on the Tu-154M at the S7 Training Center during the year.

“An even more difficult year lies ahead, promising many interesting things. We’re going to add new flights to Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Orsk and other cities. It’s quite possible that another hub will appear on the S7 Airlines map through the efforts of the CRA,” says Alexander Larin, Director of the S7 Airlines Central Regional Affiliate.

S7 Airlines is one of Russia’s most stable airlines. It actively uses the latest achievements of the industry worldwide in the servicing of passengers and is actively expanding its service.

S7 Airlines is Russia’s largest airline in terms of domestic passenger traffic and is one of the world’s top 50 airlines in this segment. In 2007 the company received an official notification from the IATA about the inclusion of the airline in the registry of operators of the IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) and became Russia’s second airline to successfully pass the full procedure of the international audit for conformity to operating safety standards.

This year, S7 Airlines will continue its program to improve its service and modernize its fleet. In particular, in the near future the company plans to purchase 4 new Airbus A320 airplanes.
