S7 Airlines got two Cannes Lions awards
S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, again was awarded at the Cannes Lions advertising festival.
The festival jury highly estimated the advertizing campaign #IWANTTOGOWHERE and the interactive innovative project “Imagination Machine”, which was organized as a part of this campaign.
S7 Airlines won two bronze Lions in the Cyber division in the Interfaces & Navigation and Live digital categories. The Cyber division is a division where awards are given for innovative advertising and marketing projects implemented using most modern digital technologies.
In addition to two awards S7 Airlines projects were included in short lists of the Outdoor and Media divisions. And the video #IWANTTOGOWHERE was included in the short list of the most prestigious festival category - Film Lions.

In April as a part of the advertising campaign #IWANTTOGOWHERE S7 Airlines presented in Moscow the Imagination Machine high-technology installation, which enables to direct flights using the power of imagining. During that day any visitor of the shopping mall, where the machine was installed, could try to direct a virtual flight with brain impulses. To those, who succeeded, S7 Airlines presented free flights to destinations, where the participants wished to fly.
The Imagination Machine installation included a stand with an aircraft model and a two-meter globe. A participant of the experiment could choose a place on the map, where he/she would like to travel, and then direct a flight concentrating his/her attention on the point of destination. The headset read brain electric impulses and transfered them through Bluetooth to the computer, which transformed brain activities into commands directing the flight. The more the participant was concentrated on the aim, the higher was the chance to direct the air craft model to the desired destination point.
During that day more than 200 people participated in the experiment, 50 of them got an opportunity to make a real trip to the dreamed destination on flights of S7 Airlines and oneworld alliance partners.
