S7 Airlines has increased passenger transportation by 12.7%


The S71 group airlines have summed up the operations results for November 2018. Over the past month, the airlines transported 1 163 211 passengers, which is 12.7% more than the number for November 2017.

S7 Airlines flights within Russia carried 883 779 passengers, i.e. 11.2% more than they did in November 2017. The growth in the number of international flights was 17.8%. In November 2018, the airline’s international flights carried 279,432 passengers.

The number of traveling passengers for the month grew by 14.4%. and reached 2,371,692 thousand pkm.

“The new generation aircraft in the S7 Airlines fleet allow us to actively expand our presence in Southeast Asia. In November, a new country appeared on the S7 Airlines flight map, which is Vietnam. We started direct flights to the Cam Ranh Airport, the closest airport to the popular Nha Trang resort, from Irkutsk, and in December we started flights from Novosibirsk. In addition, the tickets for flights from Irkutsk to Phuket became available last month and the first passengers will be able to take the flight right before the New Year, ” said Igor Veretennikov, Commercial Director of the S7 Group.

In November, S7 Airlines became the first airline in Russia to receive a certificate confirming its GREEN status in the Fast Travel program of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The program is aimed at the development of self-services by airlines for the convenience of passengers at different stages of travel.

An airline receives the GREEN status when it successfully implements three mandatory projects of the Fast Travel program in at least one airport. These services include online check-in, remote re-booking, and self check-in for baggage. All these services are available to S7 Airlines passengers departing from the Moscow Domodedovo Airport. In addition, S7 Airlines implemented one of the program’s three optional projects, which is the creating the opportunity to board at the gate via a turnstile by holding the boarding pass next to the scanner.
