S7 Airlines increased its passenger traffic by 10.4%

The S7 Group airlines1 have reviewed the results of their operating activities for April 2018. Over the past month, the airlines have carried 1,141,170 passengers, which is a 10.4% increase over April 2017.

The growth of passenger traffic on international destinations amounted to 15.7%. In April 2018, the airlines carried 289,620 passengers on international flights. S7 Airlines carried 851,550 passengers on domestic flights, which is an 8.8% increase over April 2017.

In April 2018, the passenger turnover increased by 10.6% and amounted to 2,314,691 thousand passenger-kilometres, the cargo turnover increased by 9.5% and amounted to 219,248 thousand tonne-kilometres.

“It is now several months in a row that we have seen a balanced and steady growth on the main air routes. S7 Airlines expands its presence in Western Europe: in April, passengers from St. Petersburg took direct scheduled flights to Alicante, Pisa and Pula, and the first flight to Tenerife departed from Moscow. At the same time, the airline continues to develop its domestic interregional transportation programme. We are glad that all new routes are in demand among passengers,” notes Igor Veretennikov, the Commerce Director of S7 Group.

In April, the passengers of S7 Airlines got the opportunity to consult online with the chatbot via Facebook Messenger on the Facebook page of the airline. The chatbot is ready to answer your questions about available tickets for S7 Airlines flights, choose a city for travelling using specified parameters and provide the information on the flight status.

Currently, S7 Airlines is developing an online adviser for www.s7.ru and the mobile app of the airline. Its main task is to quickly provide passengers with the information on a wide range of issues arising when preparing for a trip.

Last month, S7 Airlines became the general carrier of the Total Dictation event for the third time. On 14 April 2018 passengers of three S7 Airlines flights took part in Total Dictation, the annual educational event, and checked their knowledge right in the middle of the flight becoming participants of the relay at an altitude of 10,000 meters. The passengers wrote the text of the dictation by Guzel Yakhina, the famous Russian writer, in all the time zones of the project, from the Far East to Europe.
