S7 Airlines increased its passenger traffic by 17.7%
The S7 Group airlines have drawn up a balance of their operating activities for February 2017. The airlines have transported 902,972 passengers, which is 17.7% more than in February 2016.
This month, S7 Airlines has transported 676,564 passengers on domestic flights, which is a 16.2% increase over February 2016. The number of passengers on international flights has seen an increase by 22.6%, up to 226,408 passengers.
In February, the passenger turnover has increased by 20.1% and amounted to 1,841,817 thousand passenger-kilometers, the cargo turnover has increased by 19.6% and amounted to 175,297 thousand tonne-kilometers.
“Last month showed the continuation of sustained growth of our performance indicators, according to our plan for the year. The number of passengers has grown both on domestic and on international directions. In February, we withdrew one of our Airbus A320 aircrafts due to the termination of leasing. However, in the coming months, we will get the modern aircrafts of a new type, Airbus A320neo and Embraer 170. Passengers of S7 Airlines will be the first in Russia to appreciate the advantages of these airliners”, Igor Veretennikov, S7 Group Commercial Director, noted.
In February, S7 Airlines was once again recognized as the most punctual airline at the Domodedovo hub airport, having fulfilled the largest number of flights on a scheduled basis.

The airline has a wide internal route network, created on the basis of air transport hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo) and Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo).
In 2007 the company received an official IATA certificate as an IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) operator, becoming the second air carrier in Russia to have successfully passed the full international audit procedure for compliance with operational safety standards.
At the end of 2016, S7 Airlines became the winner of Skyway Service Award aviation award in three categories: the best airline in category “Economy Class, Domestic Scheduled Services”, “Best Loyalty Program” and “Best Online Customer Services.”
