S7 Airlines information now available via Google Now

S7 Airlines, the leader in bringing new electronic technologies to Russia’s air transport market, has become the first Russian company to provide its flight information through Google Now.

S7 passengers using the Google Search smartphone app can now view details of their flight details through Google Now. To enable this, passengers should indicate their Gmail address during ticket purchase at www.s7.ru so the confirmation email will be send to it. Google Now will remind users of the upcoming flight, display the flight details, and provide notifications of any changes in the schedule.

Google Now will provide all necessary flight information: itinerary, times of departure and arrival, and flight status. The information is updated automatically, when there is an active internet connection. This service also helps users to calculate the time needed to reach the airport of departure, and suggests the best time to leave home, considering the available information on traffic jams and the best route to the airport.

Google Now is a smart search service implemented through the Google Search smartphone app on Android and iOS operating systems. By analysing the user’s requests, location, preferences, daily schedule and calendar details, Google Now produces a set of ‘cards’ with useful information.

Google Now can also tell passengers about weather, public transport routes and schedules, traffic jams, nearby places of interest, and interesting events, regardless of the user’s current location. The service also gives reminders of any meetings planned in the calendar. Users can set up their cards as they see fit and delete any cards they no longer need.

Tickets can be purchased at www.s7.ru and the mobile website m.s7.ru, or via the S7 iPhone app, or at any sales office. Up-to-the-minute flight information, and ticket booking and purchase, are also available by calling the Contact Centre on (free within Russia).
