S7 Airlines launches new iPhone app

S7 Airlines is announcing the launch of an upgraded version of the iPhone app.

The new application is more user friendly, while the purchase now takes less time. Passengers can buy a ticket for any S7 Airlines flight paying by credit card or book it to pay later with e-money, by a bank transfer or in cash at any S7 Airlines sales office, Svyaznoy mobile shop or through a QIWI terminal.

The application allows you to check in for the flight, choose a convenient cabin seat, request a boarding pass to be sent to their email or download a mobile boarding pass in advance. After downloading it can be used without an active Internet connection.

All information on the nearest flight important for the passenger is available on screen on the MyS7 page and is thus always close at hand.

You can get information on the flight departure or arrival time on the Flight Board special page, as well as subscribe for the free flight status notification service available by email and SMS.

The new app can determine the user’s location to find the nearest airport or S7 Airlines sales office. You can also use it to make a call to the company’s contact centre though Internet or your mobile network.

The application features a new function allowing you to save your bank card details. Once saved, the user won’t have to enter those at each purchase — this saves your time and minimizes the possibility of entry errors. The card details are only stored within the app on your mobile device and are only accessible by the user.

S7 Priority members gain access to the Personal Account area, where passengers can check their balance, mile transactions and add travel companions.

The app also has the option to buy Aeroexpress tickets for a comfortable trip to the airport. Tickets can be paid by VISA and MasterCard bank cards.

The new app functions let the user select and place the pages needed in the navigation panel for quick access. To do this, drag the icons to the bottom of the screen.

S7 Airlines was the first Russian airline to develop a special iPhone application in 2010.
