S7 Airlines new service: cabin upgrade in exchange for miles at check-in counters

S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, offers a new service for frequent flyers. Now they can purchase a cabin upgrade in exchange for miles at a check-in counter at the airport.

The service is available at check-in counters at most airports of the S7 Airlines route network. A cabin upgrade from economy to business class is available for passengers, who purchased economy class air tickets for S7 Airlines own flights.

You can purchase the service at a check-in counter three hours prior to the flight. The service is available, if there are unoccupied seats in the business class cabin. To purchase a cabin upgrade for miles at a check-in counter is as easy as to pay for the service with a bank card – miles will be automatically deducted from the account at the moment of the purchase. Then an employee at the check-in counter will issue to the passenger a boarding pass for a seat in the business class cabin.

The number of miles necessary for a cabin upgrade is 6 500 miles for one-way flight. A passenger can also purchase cabin upgrades for his/her travelling companions, if their tickets are in the same booking, and if there are enough miles on his/her account.

Business lounge services are not available in case of a cabin upgrade at a check-in counter. Free baggage allowance will remain the same and will be determined in accordance with the paid economy class fare.

All additional services for status passengers are provided in accordance with S7 Priority rules.
