S7 Airlines switches over to the winter flight schedule
On 29 October 2017 S7 Airlines, a oneworld® global airline alliance member, switches over to the winter flight schedule, which will be effective up to 24 March 2018 inclusive. During this period the airline will operate flights to 162 destinations in 26 countries around the world.
“We constantly seek to offer our passengers new travel directions. This year, S7 Airlines will open several new flights for those who prefer winter activity holiday in the mountains. On the eve of New Year holidays, the airline for the first time opens direct scheduled flights from St. Petersburg to Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria, Turin and Verona in Italy, as well as Lyon in France, from where it is convenient to reach the popular Alpine resorts. Besides, this year there will be more than 20 new flights both to foreign and domestic destinations in the winter schedule”, notes Igor Veretennikov, the Commerce Director of S7 Group.
Travellers from Moscow will be able to get to the Alpine slopes by direct flights to Salzburg, Innsbruck and Turin, which will be resumed in December, or year-round flights to Munich and Verona. Traditionally, the transportation of ski and snowboard equipment on S7 Airlines flights will be free of charge. In addition to the baggage, each passenger may take 1 set of equipment: a pair of alpine skis with ski poles or a snowboard, as well as boots, a helmet, a pair of snow goggles and special clothing with a total weight not exceeding 23 kg for Economy Class passengers and 32 kg for Business Class passengers. Equipment must be packed in a single case or in a case and a piece of baggage, the sum of three dimensions of which must not exceed 203 cm.
In December, a new city will appear on the S7 Airlines route map — Rome, an ideal destination for fans of a European winter and a leisurely lifestyle of Italy. Passengers of S7 Airlines will be able to go on Roman holiday and enjoy pleasant walks in Villa Borghese along with long dinners in various cafés in Trastevere starting 15 December 2017. Scheduled flights to the capital of Italy will be carried out daily1 from Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
In the winter schedule of 2017/2018, the airline offers several destinations for travellers who prefer to discover cities with a special atmosphere and spirit. For the first time in winter, S7 Airlines passengers will be able to travel from Moscow to Vienna, Pisa, Catania, from Novosibirsk to Tbilisi and from St. Petersburg to Berlin. Besides, popular flights to Prague, Barcelona, Naples, Larnaca and Sochi will remain in the schedule.
Passengers will be able to go to Thailand, one of the most popular destinations for beach holidays in winter. Also, there will be convenient flights of S7 Airlines to Bangkok from Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. Moreover, an additional direct flight to Pattaya, the resort located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, will be opened from Irkutsk.
In winter, travellers from Vladivostok will still be able to visit Asian megalopolis with their amazing architectural and cultural contrasts. Direct flights of S7 Airlines will deliver passengers from Knevichi Airport to Beijing and Shanghai, Osaka and Tokyo, Seoul and Hong Kong.
S7 Airlines continues developing the regional route network, offering convenient flights across Russia that connect passengers with their relatives and business partners. New flights from Moscow to Bryansk and Lipetsk will be added to the new schedule. The flights opened earlier this year will also be operated in the winter period. Thus, passengers from St. Petersburg will be able to take direct flights to Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl and Kaluga; passengers from Vladivostok will be able to go directly to Khabarovsk and passengers from Novosibirsk will enjoy direct flights to Perm, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and other cities.
There will be an increase in the number of flights to several domestic destinations, including those from Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport to Blagoveshchensk, Norilsk and Yekaterinburg and from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Stavropol, Ufa and Nizhnekamsk.
