S7 Airlines to present a public garden to the people of Novosibirsk
To celebrate its 20th anniversary S7 Airlines has prepared a gift to the people of Novosibirsk — a public garden in the centre of the city. The project’s presentation was held on Saturday during an event devoted to the company’s anniversary.
«The development of Siberia Airlines1 has always been intimately associated with the city of Novosibirsk. This was the birthplace of the company, which for the twenty years of its history has grown from a small regional carrier into an internationally recognized brand — S7 Airlines. As you might have noticed, we like green colour. That’s why this anniversary year we decided to make a green present to our home city of Novosibirsk — a public garden in the centre of the city. This is a joint project of S7 Airlines, the City Mayor’s Office and the Administration of the Novosibirsk Region», Vladimir Obyedkov, Director General of S7 Airlines said.
As a token of its willingness to commence the works the company handed the City a memorial tablet with the concept design of the future public garden.
It will be located at the very heart of the city — at the intersection of Ordzhonikidze and Sovietskaya streets. The concept design assumes walkways and plenty of trees and vegetation. The Mayor’s Office will attend to the construction of a fountain in the public garden’s centre. Partners of S7 Airlines — major aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing — and the Alfa-Bank will also take part in the construction of the public garden by installing modern art objects.
