S7 Airlines Transports Russian Team to European Boat Fishing Championship

S7 Airlines provided the Russian team with uniforms, which the team will be able to use in the future at other tournaments, and also assisted with the transport of bulky equipment.

The European Boat Fishing Championship will be held from August 16-23, 2008. The European Federation of Sea Anglers has been the organizer of the competition for more than 20 years. The Russian division of the federation, which formed the Russian team, is for the first time participating in the championship, which is being held in Ireland.

S7 Airlines is the only airline that offers regular direct flights from Moscow to Dublin.

The flights are operated three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on a modern Airbus A319 airliner. The first flight on this route was flown on April 27, 2008.

*More than 200 athletes from 14 countries will participate in the European Championship in Cobh (Ireland). Federation rules stipulate two tournaments: ultralight and classical boat fishing, in each of which a prize will be determined. The Russian team will participate in both tournaments.

OAO Sibir Airlines (the S7 Airlines brand) is the largest airline on Russia’s domestic routes and one of the top 50 airlines in the world in this segment.

In 2007 the company received an official notification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) about the airline’s certification in that organization, becoming the second carrier in Russia to successfully pass the IATA Operational Safety Audit.

S7 Airlines is one of Russia’s most stable airlines, incorporating the latest achievements of the world industry in the servicing of passengers and actively expanding its service. S7 Airlines won the annual national “People’s Brand / Brand No. 1 in Russia” prize in 2007.
