S7 Airlines was awarded for maintaining the aircraft airworthiness
S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, got a professional award in the sphere of aircraft technical maintenance and overhaul.
The award is presented annually since 2008 during the international conference “Aircraft equipment technical maintenance and overhaul in Russia and the CIS” together with the magazine “Air transport overview”.
S7 Airlines got a special award for the organization of work for the maintenance of its fleet airworthiness.
“Aircraft airworthiness maintenance is an integral part of flight operation safety. Flight safety is a priority task for our airline company. It’s a matter of importance for us that S7 Airlines passengers can trust our company when planning their trips aware of a safe and convenient scheduled flight ahead”, Aleksey Ovsyannikov, Deputy Director for Airworthiness Maintenance, noted.
S7 Airlines operates one of the most young and modern aircraft fleets on the Russian air transportation market. The average airliner age is eight years. All flights are performed on the aircrafts of the world’s leading producers — Airbus and Boeing.
The airline has a wide internal route network, created on the basis of air transport hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo) and Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo).
In 2007 the company received an official IATA certificate as an IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) operator, becoming the second air carrier in Russia to have successfully passed the full international audit procedure for compliance with operational safety standards.
