S7 Airlines will name its flights after the heroes of the Great Patriotic War
S7 Airlines, a oneworld® global airline alliance member, holds a special event — “The Flight of the Hero” — timed to the Victory Day, during which the participants are given the opportunity to name the flights of the airline after their relatives, who are veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
To take part in the “The Flight of the Hero” event, you need to apply for it at the dedicated website www.victory-name.s7.ru and specify the name, rank, and place of deployment or duty of the veteran, after whom you’d like to name the flight of the airline.
The names of the heroes will be assigned to one of 1454 S7 Airlines flights that will be operated from 8 May 2017 to 14 May 2017.
The list of named flights will be updated on the page of the action on the S7 Airlines website, and, during the flight, flight attendants will announce the name of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War the flight is named after.
The participants can also share the information about naming the S7 Airlines flight after their relative to social networks.
S7 Airlines regularly holds special offers and events for veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the eve of the Victory Day, offering reduced-fare tickets. In 2017, the airfare for a one-way domestic flight is 100 roubles and 200 roubles for a round trip domestic flight. For a one-way flight between Russia and the CIS, the airfare is 2 euro, for a round-trip flight, the airfare is 4 euro. The fuel surcharge is not levied when purchasing a reduced fare ticket. During the special offer, the veterans can fly S7 Airlines scheduled domestic flights and internal CIS flights from 7 to 13 May 2017.
The airline has a wide internal route network, created on the basis of air transport hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo) and Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo).
In 2007 the company received an official IATA certificate as an IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) operator, becoming the second air carrier in Russia to have successfully passed the full international audit procedure for compliance with operational safety standards.
At the end of 2016, S7 Airlines became the winner of Skyway Service Award aviation award in three categories: the best airline in category “Economy Class, Domestic Scheduled Services”, “Best Loyalty Program” and “Best Online Customer Services.”
