S7 Airlines wins “Wings of Russia” awards in three categories
S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, became the winner of the national aviation award “Wings of Russia — 2014” in three categories at once. Experts recognized S7 Airlines as the airline company of the year for achievements in air transportation sphere on domestic air routes of Russia, for the best business strategy and for advances in e-commerce.
“In 2014 S7 Airlines for the first time transported over 10 million passengers. It is a result of the effective business strategy. For a few years running we have worked on cost reduction, implemented new business projects, IT-systems, personnel management systems. We continue to implement the programme for optimization of the air craft fleet. All these measures helped us to preserve stability even in times difficult for the branch. I am delighted that work in this direction was highly estimated by our passengers and experts”, Vladimir Obedkov, S7 Airlines General Director, noted.
It is the fourth time running that the airline becomes the winner in the Electronic commerce category. S7 Airlines was the first in Russia to launch online ticket sale on its own website and implement e-ticket, offer online check-in for flights to its passengers, introduce Mobile boarding pass, and develop a special iPhone app and the mobile version of the website.
“We continue to focus upon and to develop electronic services, and to be one of the first companies to implement the newest solutions. Today over 30% of our passengers purchase air tickets and use other electronic services online. And this rate is the most impressive among Russian transportation companies”, Anton Eremin, S7 Group Deputy General Director, said.
Also Globus airline company, a member of the S7 Group, became Wings of Russia award winner in the category “International Scheduled Passenger Carrier”.
The airline has a wide internal route network, created on the basis of air transport hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo) and Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo).
In 2007 the company received an official IATA certificate as an IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) operator, becoming the second air carrier in Russia to have successfully passed the full international audit procedure for compliance with operational safety standards.
S7 Airlines is among the top 5 of the most reputable Russian companies of 2017 and ranks the fourth among the most desirable Russian employers.
At the end of 2016, S7 Airlines became the winner of Skyway Service Award aviation award in three categories: the best airline in category “Economy Class, Domestic Scheduled Services”, “Best Loyalty Program” and “Best Online Customer Services”.
