S7 launches Irkutsk-Bangkok route

Next week, on October 23, Irkutsk and the capital of Thailand will be linked by a regular flight for the first time, as S7 launches its new Irkutsk—Bangkok route. The new flight, S7 759, will operate once a fortnight (on Mondays) throughout the winter until March 2007. Our airplanes will use Bangkok’s new Suvarnabhumi Airport, opened this autumn. The flight will take 7 hours.

You can buy tickets as part of a package tour from tour companies (including S7’s own travel agency, S7 Tour), as well as separately, though the number of seats available in the latter case is limited. Tickets can be acquired not just in Bangkok, but in any city/country in the Asia-Pacific region. This is possible thanks to S7’s interline agreements with foreign airlines flying from Bangkok: Thai Airways, Bangkok Airlines, Singapore Airlines, etc.

You can purchase onward tickets from Bangkok to other Asian cities at any major air ticket office in Russia; your entire journey will be covered by a single S7 Airlines ticket form.

Besides the new route, S7 will fly from Irkutsk to other airports in Thailand as well this winter. Like last year, we will operate charter flights to U-Tapao (from January to March, also fortnightly), and for the New Year holidays we plan to operate a charter flight to another well-known Thai resort —the island of Phuket. S7 has a representative office in the Thai capital, which can be consulted with regard to all questions concerning S7 flights in the region.

You can find a flight timetable, check seat availability and book tickets on S7’s official website, www.s7.ru, or by calling (free from within Russia).
