S7’s A319s Reach the Far East

Today most Russian airports served by S7 can handle the foreign-made aircraft in S7’s fleet. This is one of the stages in S7’s development path. Russian passengers from cities in the country’s Far East can now choose to fly with S7’s modern and comfortable aircraft and enjoy the pleasure of travelling with S7.

The A319 airliner is outstandingly economically efficient and considered the best in its class. The new aircraft will be flown by S7 pilots trained at flight training centres run by United Airlines in Denver and Airbus in Tunis. S7’s flight instructors have Airbus instruction certificates and considerable experience of flying with aircraft of this type.

At S7, we are continuously improving our standards of service, updating our aircraft fleet, and making every effort to make travelling pleasant and memorable for our passengers. S7 Airlines is Russia’s largest domestic carrier and one of the world’s top 50 domestic airlines. In terms of passenger numbers, S7 is Russia’s second-biggest airline overall. In 2006, S7 made more than 40,000 flights, carrying 4,900,000 passengers and more than 28,000 tonnes of cargo and post.
