Siberia Airlines development creates new jobs for aviation specialists in the region
Earlier this year, a squadron of 28 local pilots and a separate team of 16 airhostesses was formed in Omsk. The company continues to hire pilots and airhostesses there.
In Novosibirsk, 20 young pilots from the regional subdivisions located in Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Tyumen and other Siberian cities are being retrained to fly the Tu 154 airplane. In addition, about 60 engineers and technicians have been hired to work for Siberia Airlines from Omsk, Barnaul and Irkutsk.
Hiring aviation personnel from Siberian cities is a part of the company's policy, which in the last six years has established regional branches in Barnaul, Tomsk, Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk. The total number of personnel working in the west Siberian branches of Siberia Airlines, Novosibirsk not included, is about 500 persons. These are primarily former workers of the local air companies, whose knowledge and experience were in no demand at their previous job.
