Siberia Airlines has started project of winter charter flights from RF regions

The regional charter flight project of Siberia Airlines for the winter period of 2003—2004 from Novosibirsk will provide for a number of New-Year and Christmas flights: to the Island of Bali, Malaysia, the Maldives and a joint flight to Singapore and Bali. Another charter flight from Novosibirsk will be made by the company on the Thai line to U-Tapao and three other flights to the same destination via Phuket island. Six flights to U-Tapao are to be made from Irkutsk, one flight to Phuket Island and one to the Maldives. The clients for these charter flights are Siberia Travel agency in Novosibirsk and Rossina agency in Irkutsk. Thus in the forthcoming season, the Siberia Airlines’ route chart will be supplemented with a number of new destinations including its first flights to the Maldives and Malaysia airports. Due to increased flight frequency on traditional routes and introduction of new flights, the company is planning at least 12% further growth of passenger traffic by charter flights. The Novosibirsk charter team was set up in April 2000 as part of Siberia Airlines’ Commercial Directorate. During the summer season of 2003 the company operated 134 charter flights from Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Omsk and Nizhnevartovsk and carried 17,226 passengers (in 2002 these figures were 112 and 16,200 respectively).
