S7 Airlines joined the oneworld global aviation alliance in November, 2010. In accordance with the requirements of oneworld, some of the airline’s aircrafts should be painted in the alliance style. The first aircraft, Boeing 737-800NG, was painted in the oneworld colour scheme at the beginning of 2011. In 2012, six new Airbus A320 aircrafts and three Boeing 737-800NG aircrafts were added to the fleet of the airline, as a result it was decided to repaint one more airliner.
The work was performed in the Netherlands and it took less than a week. Modern materials giving the airliner a special gloss were used. Besides the new livery, the aircraft now has a fully renovated cabin — with leather seats in the cabin of economy and business classes.
S7 Airlines fleet consists of 51 aircrafts: 20 Airbus A319, 15 Airbus A320, one Airbus A310, two Boeing 767-300 long-haul aircrafts, four Boeing 737-400 and nine Boeing 737-800NG.
